Terms and Conditions

Galileo Guitars

1. Scope of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of instruments offered through the Carpinteri Guitars website and related payment systems.

They apply to all standard production models released under the Galileo line, as well as to any future standard production instruments offered by Carpinteri Guitars, unless otherwise specified.

By proceeding with the payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

2. Brand and Product Lines

Galileo is a product line and brand owned and operated by Carpinteri Guitars.

All instruments sold under the Galileo name are designed, produced, and distributed by Carpinteri Guitars and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Product Description

Instruments offered through the Carpinteri Guitars website are standard production instruments built in limited production batches.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • technical specifications are fixed

  • no structural or functional customizations are offered

  • available finishes and aesthetic options are limited

Each instrument is handcrafted as part of a production-based process.

4. Production Batches

Production is organized in limited production batches.

Each batch defines when work on the instrument will begin.
For example, instruments assigned to a January–June 2026 batch will enter production starting in January 2026.

Production availability shown on the website is updated manually and may not reflect real-time changes.

5. Production Deposit

A production deposit is required to secure a production slot.

Unless otherwise specified, the production deposit corresponds to 40% of the total instrument price and is applied toward the final purchase price.

The production deposit confirms the customer’s commitment and secures a place in the selected production batch.

6. Refund Policy – Production Deposit

The production deposit is non-refundable once the production process has started.

If production has not yet begun, refund requests may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Carpinteri Guitars.

This policy complies with EU consumer law regarding goods made to order or produced through a clearly production-based process.

7. Pricing and Taxes

All prices are expressed excluding shipping costs.

Applicable taxes (including VAT) are calculated during checkout based on:

  • billing address

  • tax residency

  • VAT identification number, if provided

Customers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided during checkout.

8. Final Balance and Shipping Costs

The remaining balance will be communicated prior to delivery.

Final shipping costs are not included in the production deposit and will be calculated based on:

  • destination country

  • courier rates

  • insurance costs applicable at the time of shipment

A separate communication will be sent once the instrument is ready for delivery.

9. Shipping, Delivery, and Tracking

Shipping is arranged once the final balance and shipping costs have been settled.

Once the instrument has been shipped, a tracking number will be provided by email.

Estimated production and delivery timelines are indicative and may vary due to:

  • batch scheduling

  • material availability

  • workshop workflow

Delays in production or delivery do not entitle the customer to partial refunds, compensation, or price reductions.

10. Order Confirmation and Communication

After payment, customers will receive a personal confirmation email.

This communication is intended to:

  • confirm order details

  • verify production batch assignment

  • request any additional information if required

In the unlikely event of issues such as batch overbooking, customers will be contacted directly to discuss available options, which may include reassignment to a different batch or a refund if requested.

11. Production Updates

General production updates and workshop progress may be shared through Carpinteri Guitars’ official communication channels, including social media.

Individual production updates are not guaranteed unless required for logistical or administrative reasons.

12. Customer Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during checkout, including:

  • billing details

  • shipping address

  • tax identification data, where applicable

Italian private customers may be required to provide a Codice Fiscale for invoicing purposes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
