The concept
The Galileo 01 was developed for players who love the distinctive sound of the Red Special, but never felt completely at ease with its original, generous neck profile.
It is the direct result of years of player feedback, gathered over more than two decades of building high-quality, highly faithful Red Special replicas.
A slimmer, more familiar neck was introduced to feel natural in the hands of the vast majority of players, without compromising the essential features that define its iconic sound.
The neck
The Galileo 01 neck was developed to address a recurring limitation observed over years of direct experience with RS-style instruments.
The original Red Special neck, while unique, often represents a barrier for many players due to its generous dimensions and its highly polished lacquered fingerboard.
The Galileo 01 profile reinterprets these characteristics with a slimmer, more accessible shape, paired with an unlacquered ebony fingerboard for a more controlled and immediate feel.
At the same time, the 24″ scale length has been preserved, as it remains essential to the response of the instrument, particularly for string tension and bending behavior.
The result is a neck designed to retain the defining elements of the original concept, while adapting to the expectations of a wider range of players.
